Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate Applied or LCVP or FETAC/QQI Level 4 Award. Equal consideration will be given to mature applicants (those aged over 23) who do not meet these entry requirements.

Course Description
This course is suitable for individuals who have an interest in holistic therapies and would like to pursue a career in this area or add to existing qualifications. It is aimed at giving a comprehensive understanding in a wide variety of the most popular therapies leading to internationally recognised qualifications. Students get hand-on experience and real world experience through providing supervised treatments in the clinic on campus. There is a focus on this course on practicing treatments and developing existing skills to industry standard. Work experience in complementary therapy is an integral part of the course. In order to complete the course successfully, students must meet all the necessary criteria as stipulated by the international examination bodies, including completion of required course hours and project work.

Students who successfully complete this course may obtain positions as complementary therapists in beauty salons, hotel spas, health centres, healing centres, or they may become sales representatives and trainers for health products. Graduates of this course have the necessary qualifications to start their own business.
