Leaving Certificate or Leaving Certificate Applied or LCVP or FETAC/QQI Level 4 Award. Equal consideration will be given to mature applicants (those aged over 23) who do not meet these entry requirements.

Course Description
This course covers all aspects of animal science at a level which allows progression into degree programmes in the animal science, health and welfare sectors. Students will get a solid understanding of general animal behaviour, animal science and business management. Industry experience is an essential element of this programme and students will complete an extensive work placement over the course of the two year programme. This course is offered in conjunction with the Veterinary Assistant (Years 1 and 2) courses in Cavan Institute.
